The workshop “Up for a Challenge” consisted of asking users to present themselves, by making a recording, which was then played back to them. After doing so, they were asked to draw what they thought their voice looked like. This was done in an attempt to find a visual language, an understanding of what the potential user visually thought of when hearing their own voice.

 

Outcome:

- Abstract representations and organic forms (subjective and personal interpretations)

- Inclusion of text that mainly explained personality and personal characteristics

- Representation with colour and levels

- Horizontal format dominated
