With Project VAIN, I discovered as a designer, an interest in the importance of the message, how design approaches social issues, conceptual thinking and interaction design. Zooming out to see the greater picture, whilst concentrating on the opportunities presented by the context was achieved.

 

VAIN’s potential for development in future applications may include areas of music, speech recognition, special education, distant communications and studies of social interaction. Proposals are being developed to take the concept into a commercial application that would enable work within an interdisciplinary team, improve and duplicate the system. It should keep its simplicity and relationship with the individual besides adding the interactive experience between several users as well as a space.
